We begin with a thorough review of the local jurisdiction's zoning and applicable codes to develop a preliminary property profile. Next, we work with our clients utilizing a detailed questionnaire to assist in documenting well-defined goals for the project.

A detailed site survey and analysis are done to generate the critical "Opportunities & Considerations Plan", shown here. Solar orientation, views, noise, adjacent structures, steep slopes and prevailing breezes are all documented as well as any zoning restrictions and setbacks.

This drawing guides the process of taking your "needs questionnaire" and the site's considerations and developing a program or design brief. Depending on the scope of your project, this can be a 2 hour, 2 week or 2 month process. This critical process is where we document and agree on the defintion of success before designing your project.
